A podcast that started because bad advice is expensive.
The Healthy House Podcast exists because most homeowners are asked to make big, irreversible decisions about their houses using language nobody ever explained to them. It is a long-form conversation show about property, construction and healthy homes, made by people who work on real buildings for a living.
Why this show exists
Damp, mould, condensation and poor repointing are among the most common problems in the UK’s older housing stock, and among the worst explained. Homeowners are routinely sold quick fixes that ignore the actual cause, or told to fear normal ageing in a building that just needs proper ventilation. The people who could put that right — surveyors, masons, architects and specialist contractors — rarely get a wide audience for what they know.
Weather Wise Solutionssees the consequences of that gap every week, in other people’s homes. The podcast is a direct response to it: put the people who genuinely understand these buildings in front of a microphone, give them room to talk properly, and publish it for anyone to hear.

How episodes are made
Long conversations, not soundbites
Every episode runs long-form and unscripted. There is no autocue and no approved talking points — just a subject, a guest chosen for expertise, and enough time for a real answer rather than a headline.
Plain English, not jargon
Damp, ventilation, breathability, U-values — the language of building science locks ordinary homeowners out of decisions about their own homes. Every episode is an attempt to translate it without dumbing it down.
People who actually do the work
Guests are surveyors, specialist contractors, masons, architects and manufacturers who spend their days on real buildings. Experience on site counts for more here than a job title.
Honest about what is not known
Building health is full of contested ground and bad advice sold with total confidence. Where the evidence is thin or the trade disagrees, the conversation says so rather than papering over it.
Useful before it is promotional
Weather Wise Solutions hosts the show and Remmers sponsors it, but neither buys a say in what a guest concludes. If an episode is only useful as an advert, it has failed.

He spends his working life in other people’s homes, diagnosing moisture problems and undoing work that was sold to people who had no way of knowing it was wrong — which is the reason this show exists.

Why did Weather Wise Solutions start a podcast?
Weather Wise Solutions is a damp, mould and condensation specialist. Its surveyors spend their working lives undoing building work that was sold to homeowners who had no way of knowing it was wrong. The podcast is an attempt to close that knowledge gap before the damage is done, not after.
Are episodes scripted?
No. Each episode is a long-form, unscripted conversation between the host and a guest. There is a subject and a direction, not a script — the aim is to hear how a specialist actually thinks, not a rehearsed pitch.
How are guests chosen?
On expertise, not profile. Guests are surveyors, masons, specialist contractors, architects and manufacturers who spend their days on real buildings. A guest is asked onto the show because they know their subject in detail, not because of how well they market themselves.
Does Remmers Group have any control over what guests say?
No. Remmers Group sponsors the show and Weather Wise Solutions hosts it, but neither has editorial control over a guest’s conclusions. Where a guest disagrees with common industry practice, or with something Weather Wise itself does, that disagreement stays in.
Is the host a journalist or a tradesperson?
Aaron Worrall is a director of Weather Wise Solutions, not a broadcast journalist. He hosts the show from inside the industry it covers, which is exactly why every episode is checked against what guests actually do on site rather than what sounds good.
